Emirates make hefty donation to Show Compassion campaign

Emirates airline announced it is donating US 1.35 million the Show Compassion campaign.
The "Show Compassion" campaign (Tarahamu in Arabic) provides supplies for over one million people affected by extreme winter conditions in refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon, as well as Gaza and other Palestinian territories.
The GBP 900.000/ USD 1.350.000/ Euro 1.150.000 donation is the airline’s response to appeals to the public and private sectors by UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Emirates CEO His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said. “The UAE and its leaders have played a remarkable role in quickly responding to humanitarian issues around the region, especially now as thousands of lives are threatened by extreme weather conditions.” Emirates CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said.
